Although tentative approvals have been indicated at CPC for some planning groups, no bylaws have been approved to date.  Planning groups are being advised to be using their old bylaws for this election cycle.

Hell Theresa et al:

At yesterday’s Otay Planning Group meeting there was some confusion as to the status of the bylaws and the ability to have a ballot ready for March scheduled elections.  At the end of the meeting Rob Hixson the Planning Group chair passed around a ballot that he had made up of candidates that I assume have shown interest in being on the planning group.  These candidates were broken down into the categories that the newly proposed bylaws outlined.

Yet the new bylaws have not been approved yet according to the emails I have received from the city within the last week.  It was my understanding that Ms. Greene would be writing a letter by February 22nd outlining the standing of the new bylaws and if there are any issues or what will be done with them  So they are not approved as of yet.  Thus it was premature to have Mr. Hixson passing out a preliminary ballot with the breakdown of the categories that have not yet been signed off by the City.

Since Theresa was not present yesterday at the meeting there was no one there that could clarify this issue.  Could one of you please clarify as of yesterday if the bylaws had actually been signed off on?

There were a few more issues that need to be discussed but it needs to start with the answering of this question.  Thank you.
